Original Cinema Posters – UK Mini Quads

Larger than 50cm x 40cm overall size when Framed and Mounted

All mini-quads are original cinema promotional releases. Each one will be presented in a real wood frame and a contrasting mount using only conservation materials and techniques. This means they are lined to protect from damp, sealed to protect from contaminants and all fixings, backings and mounts are acid free, preventing outgassing (chemical releases that discolour artwork and deteriorates paper). Mountboards also keep your art away from wildly fluctuating glass temperatures preventing condensation and mould forming.

Team America

Trey Parker goes Ape on America

£46 Framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

Trey Parker and Matt Stone go nuts in this superb movie poking serious fun at America’s, and particularly Bush’s, foreign strategy. Anyhows as well as pissing off US Military supporters and a great many blinkered citizens this film contains probably the funniest, and most disturbing, sex scene ever filmed by puppets or humans (I can’t speak for animals).

Van Helsing

Kate Beckinsale & Hugh Jackman

£46 Framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

Van Helsing, Count Dracula’s only enemy, teams up with a pretty Gypsy Princess in high-heels who happens to live in a castle…Now throw in Werewolves, more Vampires, Frankenstein’s Monster and varied other Undeads’ for a fun-ride that a comic book might shy away from.  Who said it had to be believable?

War of the Worlds

Steven Speilberg goes Big Bang

£46 Framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

It’s big and loud and crashing and fast and even scary. It cost a fortune and took a fortune. Spielberg does what he does to great effect with a runaround Tom Cruise in an exploding America. Great fun but I urge you to read the very British original novel set in the Home Counties. And then read H.G. Wells ‘Invisible Man’. Read anything by H.G. Wells in fact.

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie

Bigger. Better. More Absorbent

£46 Framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

Ahhh SpongeBob SquarePants. With an intelligent scatterbrained humour this character could be a lost Python and that is why everybody loves him, adults and kids alike. SpongeBob’s creator and animator Stephen Hillenburg is also a marine biologist.

Hustle and Flow

So Hip it Hurts

£46 Framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

Hustle and Flow hits the right notes whilst keeping its edge as a dark and thoughtful movie. For me the music really does make this film and as soundtracks go this one is up there with Prince’s Purple Rain. Now the bad news…Hustle and Flow director Craig Brewer is rumoured to be working on the Footloose remake; how this might be is anybodies guess.

Spider-Man 2

Peter Parker is a swinger

£46 Framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

Ahh Old Web-Head has never been so popular. In the 70’s I used to buy every UK publication going. I took no care of them, pasting my walls with a different image most weeks and slapping frequent ‘Free Stickers’ on all available personal possessions. Eventually they ended up in a big suitcase which I lent to a friend. Who never gave them back. Chet, Felix Avenue Chet, if you are reading this, I want my comics back!

Tomb Raider

Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft

£46 Framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

Tomb Raider and Lara Croft. This Hollywood blockbuster was born out of a successful British computer game and turns anthropomorphisation on its head. Consider this; first we move around an array of pixels lending them all sorts of emotion as we do so and then Bam! Angelina Jolie appears on screen and acts out that which was created by our cerebral functions. Damned if I can figure it out but I know this. My psychology tutor was right when he said ‘It is all in your head’.

The Grudge

Takashi remakes his Original Ju-on

£46 Framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

Japanese director Takeshi remakes his eerie Ju-on for a Hollywood audience providing a few scares and the basis for a successful trilogy. I do like this image. As well as following you around the room the expecting eye startles when you enter. I also have two original film industry synopsis’ of Ju-on available to be framed.

Shaun of the Dead

A Romantic Zombie Comedy

£46 framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

First off let me make a confession; I dream of zombies. Dreaming of zombies is not the same as having nightmares about zombies. I am not alone in this because Shaun of the Dead is a terrific British film dreamed up by other zombie fans. It scares, it cares, it laughs and it has a central social critique that was debated in the House of Commons by Parliament’s own zombies. Okay, the last part was a lie; Parliament’s zombies never debated Shaun of the Dead.

Get Rich or Die Tryin’

Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson

£46 Framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson to his Mother, has bullet holes in him. He came from the streets and is admired by many who want to progress from American gang-life as he has made a success out of his experiences. No doubt 50 Cent is a phenomenon. I was working in a Miami velvet-roped nite[sic] spot when ‘In Da Club’ was released and I swear it seemed as if this song was on a loop in the background to every other track. Now we have games, films and clothes to add to his music. He is certainly very much alive now and Very Rich.

Magic Roundabout

Le Manège Enchanté

£46 Framed and Mounted

Select Collection or Delivery

Blimey this movie quad is colourful. Remember these names? Dougal, Zebedee, Brian the Snail, Ermintrude the pink cow, Dylan the rabbit, Florence and of course the Roundabout’s operator Mr Rusty? Just before the news (5.40pm?) during the week? Was it riddled with drug references as many now say? No says its French creator Serge Danot. ‘Time for Bed’ Zebedee definitely did say.
